It is a tremendous resource, and underused.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 23 at 2016 1:15 PM2016-01-23T13:15:19-05:002016-01-23T13:15:19-05:00MAJ Private RallyPoint Member1256139<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I took a few classes offered at the USO. Mostly I just use my translator app. I wish I would have taken the opportunity to become more bilingual. Thankfully, it's not hard to find someone that speaks some English in Itally, Germany, or FranceResponse by MAJ Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 24 at 2016 3:41 PM2016-01-24T15:41:16-05:002016-01-24T15:41:16-05:00CPT(P) Private RallyPoint Member1261353<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Regardless of what resource is utilized, I feel that it is important, if not professionally responsible, to understand, appreciate, and inculcate the culture of the region in which we will operate. Understanding the language, and communication preferences, goes a long way. <br />My Family and I are going through the same process now. I found JKO to be less than helpful and difficult to navigate. So, I pulled the trigger on big yellow box (Rosetta Stone). It was certainly worth the price tag.Response by CPT(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 27 at 2016 6:24 AM2016-01-27T06:24:37-05:002016-01-27T06:24:37-05:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member1347229<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The Army transitioned from Rosetta to HeadStart a few years ago.
