I haven't had anything but beer in about 30 years but when I did drink the hard stuff it was mostly vodka followed by Bourbon.

Jeffersons Ocean - Aged at Sea, Blanton's, Angel's Envy, Four Roses Single Barrel, I.W Harper, all distinctively good bourbons.

Bourbon comes out on top in terms if I want to sit there and enjoy a drink. If I am looking to get drunk though... either of the other two will get the job done.

I was going to go into the whole Scotch is whiskey thing but ... In any case, I prefer single malt scotch. The most high end blends are no where near a mediocre single malt in my taste buds opinion. When I drink alone, I prefer to be by myself.
I want one bourbon, one scotch, and one beer.

But after years of seeing the damage done to society, the only recreational substance I can endorse is LSD.

I'm in the "there's no such thing as a good bourbon camp." I do like scotch. But I like good cognac more. I think my bourbonoia got started when I was in scouts. Someone stuck some in their pack for a camp out. We didn't want to drink it straight so we mixed it..... with cranberry juice. Yuk!! One thing I noticed is people tend to favor one over the other by a large margin.

That said, I like those who like bourbon. Leaves more scotch for us.

None. Beer is my only way. Guinness, Shiner Bock, or Thr3e Wisemen Porter. Can't do whiskey anymore, not a fan of bourbon or scotch.

Bourbon. Ice. Nothing else. If you even suggest adding coke you will politely but firmly be asked to leave. :)
