PO1 Brian Turpen 175736 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>July 11 the Office of the Chief of Naval Personnel (CNP) announced they are changing the uniform regulations to give individual commands the ability authorize command ball caps with the NWU Type I, II and III. In my Opinion this is a terrible Idea. Ball Caps with NWU's just looks stupid. Not sure why there was such a big push to get this approved. For the Sailors. COs to Have Authority to Allow Ball Caps with NWUs what are your thoughts? 2014-07-11T17:50:03-04:00 PO1 Brian Turpen 175736 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>July 11 the Office of the Chief of Naval Personnel (CNP) announced they are changing the uniform regulations to give individual commands the ability authorize command ball caps with the NWU Type I, II and III. I'm thinking a command shoulder patch like the army maybe? That way there's a bit more uniformity between army and navy at least (except when it comes to beating them in football?) How far will the command authorization extend to? Off ship? Off base?? I agree with you nontheless. I can only imagine it looking half-decent without the blouse. Also when working easier to stay on top of your head, instead of the eight point cover on a windy flightdeck. The Eight point cover just gets so dingy looking and half of the time doesn't match my uniform at all. I understand that you can buy a new one but the ball cap brings me back to the days of Utilities. If we cant wear the ball cap with NWU's what other uniform are we gonna wear it in? Coveralls? Thats only underway. I like repping my command no matter how shitty it may be! lol Response by PO1 Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 2 at 2015 8:32 AM 2015-07-02T08:32:57-04:00 2015-07-02T08:32:57-04:00 2014-07-11T17:50:03-04:00
