For the NCOER, should your notional leadership position match your actual MTOE position? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/for-the-ncoer-should-your-notional-leadership-position-match-your-actual-mtoe-position <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So I have always been taught that your principle duty title on the NCOER must match your MTOE position&#39;s title. For most of my current rating period, I have been doing my MTOE&#39;d duties, but have also notionally been the &quot;HQ PSG&quot; for our HHC, to include keeping accountability of the DFAC, supply, and training room Soldiers and running the training room. I was recently told that since DA PAM 623-3 says &quot;Enter principal duty title that matches the unit force management document or that most accurately reflects actual duties performed.&quot; it is possible to have HQ PSG put on my next NCOER as the principle duty title since &quot;nobody is going to go back and check if it&#39;s an actual MTOE position..&quot; I feel like my NCOER would better reflect my rating by keeping my MTOE position as principle duty title, and maybe mentioning HQ PSG under appointed duties or areas of special emphasis. It should reflect your MTOE position, and have PSG as additional duties. The most important thing in the NCOER is not the position but the performance of the duties. Ensure the PSG duties have the strongests bullets possible. Also look at DA 600-25, what is the best position for your rank? Good luck in your future endeavors. POINT BLANK it&#39;s not justified anymore. Too many great people getting pasted over because NCO&#39;s and senior leadership can&#39;t write a simple NCOER. In this case, DA Pam 623-3 is the one you’re looking for. <br /><br />As a side note, I hate hearing leaders chime in just to say “I’ve always been told” or “the way we always did it”. Dig into the regs and get the real answer, don’t just mindlessly regurgitate info that may or may not be correct and/or out of date. 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 09 Aug 2018 00:13:48 -0400 2018-08-09T00:13:48-04:00 Response by 1SG Timothy Trewin made Aug 9 at 2018 2:14 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/for-the-ncoer-should-your-notional-leadership-position-match-your-actual-mtoe-position?n=3866354&urlhash=3866354 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I needs to reflect the MTOE position, but in the Daily Duties and Scope section makes sure it says “serves as the HQ Platoon Sergeant.....”. Make sure it, along with your bullets reflect your duties as the HQ PSG. Also make sure that your Senior Rater reflects that in their comments as well. 1SG Timothy Trewin Thu, 09 Aug 2018 14:14:48 -0400 2018-08-09T14:14:48-04:00 2018-08-07T17:33:49-04:00
