For all my LEOs, what are your thoughts on the "Thin Blue Line" stickers displayed by non-LEOs?

The reason for this question is that I have read many forums stating that it should only be reserved for those who are LEOs and not meant for supporters. Would this be okay to display as a person that has been selected to attend a local Police Academy or would I need to wait to become a sworn LEO?

It doesn't really bother me if non LEOs dis play them. With the societal climate as it is, every vehicle that you walk up to could potentially be the last. Seeing that sticker doesn't guarantee that the person in the vehicle won't try to kill you, but it can be a little relaxing.

in my case I support the LEO and their efforts to maintain a safe environment ... and will not hesitate to step in and assist If I can be of assistance...
Many of the Guys i served with are LEO and First Responders... and I will always have their Six...

TSgt Steve Waide some people think it's a get outta jail sticker. Not gonna stop the traffic stop if doing wrong. But as been said, in today's climate it's good to see support. Blueline flags good to see too.

Well look at it like the yellow ribbon... should that be reserved for only military spouses and girlfriends? I think a unified demonstration of support is justified no matter what affiliations.

I support LEOs with my "Blue Lives Matter" sticker on the back window of my truck. My cousin is a LEO in North Florida.

It should be for sworn LEOs.. or their immediate close friends and family. I think if you're currently in training to become a LEO you should hold out till you earn the badge.

Have to say I'm split....My wife and son's car have them on but min has never had either MP or thin blue line stickers. I have them but have never put them on. As for non lEOs let them get I support FOP or other stickers. If they get targeted because of the Thin Blue Line Sticker can they defend themselves or are criminals going to think they got one over on a cop? or a Blue ribbon like the Yellow Military support ribbon

When o see the thin blue line, I know I'm in the presence of another Leo or a supported. Either way, I'm okay with it.
