Finally got my clearance. My recruiter has told me I’ll be enlisted as E-2. Where do I look for any proof?

I been waiting 7 months for my background to be good now need to Go meps again sing up for my job but I don’t want to thro out the process for some false promises

False promises in the Army happen. Usually, they’re small time issues. You should get your MOS and such, but you barely had a functioning sentence, so you should fix that if you want to be promoted above Specialist.

It is in your contract. While you're at the MEPS signing a contract ask them to point out where it says you will be promoted.
Honestly, E2 is such a quick rank that it is not worth fighting over at the MEPS. You waited 7 months for a job that requires your clearance, it would be a shame to throw it away for a rank that they give away for doing well in basic training.

Ramos, anything anyone promises you must be in writing on your contract. If it's not on your contract, DD Form 4 or your Annex is is not true. Always read before you sign anything and if you have questions, ask. Your Recruiter should answer any questions you have. If they rush you, tell them to wait and answer your questions. If you don't feel comfortable, call me.

Wait....you weren't allowed to enlist while you waited for your security clearance? Are you looking for an MOS that has a TS/SCI eligibility requirement? If so, that's very interesting, and was that your choice to wait? If not by choice, why did they not allow you to enlist while waiting for your clearance?

As a previous Asst. Security Manager, I know that you are allowed to be issued an interim clearance to start your training, but must have your final clearance by the time you are awarded your MOS.

Another thing, I don't think you promotion is based on your clearance. I would definitely get that on your contract before you sign it. Once that contract is signed, there's no turning back and there's no..."Well, my recruiter said..."

Just get the MOS promise on your contract before you sign it. Keep in mind that you can walk away before your scheduled ship date if you change your mind.

The DD Form 4 and annexes will have the pay grade enlisting as. If you have earned a promotion, it will be there and explained to you by the MEPS counselor. For Regular Army, this is done twice. At "DEP In" and at "DEP Out". The "DEP Out" is when you return to MEPS to ship to training. This is when you actually access into active duty. If you were "promised" weekends off and pizza party Friday's while in Basic Training, sorry, that won't be guaranteed in your contract. If you have earned a promotion, that will be. So will be your job, term of enlistment, and any incentives that come with the job you enlisted for. Just be attentive, proactive, and ask questions. Nobody is going to the pull wool over your eyes with false promises.

On the DD 1966, it is block 17.i..
On the DD 4, it is section B. 8.
