THEN you can apply for MACP (Married Army Couple's Program). Once you are BOTH fully enrolled, THEN you can work on being stationed together.

You will probably both PCS to the same NEXT duty station, at different times, as slots come available. After that, you should be able to PCS together.

But these are "probably" and "should," because the needs of the Army come first. MACP is a program for the Army to TRY to station couples together. It is NOT a guarantee or a requirement.Response by SFC Casey O'Mally made Sep 28 at 2021 10:58 AM2021-09-28T10:58:42-04:002021-09-28T10:58:42-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member7301734

You'll both have your orders long before you get married. So if you're still a single soldier at that point, then no you're not getting stationed with her.

This question: "Lt Col Charlie Brown i have 3 weeks till graduation would i have enough time to swap duty stations with a classmate to go same place as fiancee or vice versa then we can just handle everything there?"

You have so much to learn...also you can't just "swap" assignments with someone. That's not how it works. At all.

Have you talked to your Drill Sergeants or anyone in your chain about this at all?Response by SFC Kelly Fuerhoff made Sep 28 at 2021 7:09 PM2021-09-28T19:09:43-04:002021-09-28T19:09:43-04:00SSgt Christophe Murphy7302194

So the short answer is no. The reason is that you need to be married before you get orders for the Army to consider you a pair. If you wait until after graduation you will have orders in hand already.Response by SSgt Christophe Murphy made Sep 28 at 2021 8:40 PM2021-09-28T20:40:55-04:002021-09-28T20:40:55-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member7303999

You should have gotten married way before so you two could of had a chance to get the same duty station. The Army just sees you as two people and will stick you where they need your MOS. More likely you will need to join the MACP after you get married and will have a better chance to get the same station. Normally you can switch with someone duty stations that is the same MOS and wants your base. I don’t know if you can as AIT students though.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 30 at 2021 4:13 PM2021-09-30T16:13:05-04:002021-09-30T16:13:05-04:00SSG Roger Ayscue7305244

Once you get married, the answer is Army Married Couples Program. My wife and I were in that and it was FAN-TAS-TIC! We went to Fort Bragg from Korea and even on the same aircraft! Our units let us take PTDY and PCS Leave at the same dates.
