I have seen many family and friends lose relationships over FB. Perception is very important and face I can very quickly distort it and prejudice others against you or give people false impressions. I.e. You take pictures of you and your friends at drinking and suddenly you are perceived as an alcoholic. It's social media, so the entire point is to not live in a private bubble. It is part of the experience. As a social media professional, I constantly tell people that Facebook exists to share likes, interests, events and other parts of ourselves with the people around us, regardless of geographical distance. What you do there is, by and large, a public record so be careful what you feed it. SGT Jeremiah B.
