Experiences deploying as a member of the Army with the Air Force? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/experiences-deploying-as-a-member-of-the-army-with-the-air-force <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am a US Army Soldier that will be deploying with an Air Force Expeditionary unit. I will be working in the ASOC and will not have an Army counterpart. I know that I am not the first to do this and am curious about other&#39;s experiences; non-Army rater/senior rater/reviewer for NCOER, end-of-tour award, SSI-FWTS, etc. Mon, 20 Jul 2020 06:53:53 -0400 Experiences deploying as a member of the Army with the Air Force? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/experiences-deploying-as-a-member-of-the-army-with-the-air-force <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am a US Army Soldier that will be deploying with an Air Force Expeditionary unit. I suggest you keep a list of accomplishments. Be ready to draft your own NCOER and awards Lt Col Charlie Brown Mon, 20 Jul 2020 06:57:46 -0400 2020-07-20T06:57:46-04:00 Response by SFC Michael D. made Jul 20 at 2020 4:08 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/experiences-deploying-as-a-member-of-the-army-with-the-air-force?n=6120545&urlhash=6120545 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You&#39;re going with the Air Force? Hell you got it made! No disrespect intended to the Air Force. I love them. Whenever there was a war, they gave us a ride. Seriously, learning another service and working with them is a good experience. Soak up all you can. SFC Michael D. I rated Army, Marine, and Air Force Officers and one Navy Petty Officer First Class. I asked the service members to explain their rating system. Also to tell me pitfalls in the system where I could accidentally screw them by using a wrong word. I reviewed the evaluation time line with the J1 section for that service. I hope your evaluator will do some of these same things. As an E6 you may have an E8 or E9 rater with an officer senior rater. You’ll be representing your Service. Once you get to know the unit a little have the rating conversation with your rater. Make sure they understand the Army system, deadlines, and formats Lt Col Jim Coe Mon, 20 Jul 2020 18:40:12 -0400 2020-07-20T18:40:12-04:00 2020-07-20T06:53:53-04:00
