E4 for EMT?

So I see on the internet that you can go into the army as an E4 if you go 68w with your EMT-B, is this anywhere in the guidelines cause I asked my recruiter and he said the best he could do is E3 with college and sea cadets I just want to know if the E4 is true

Yes, this is true. That’s how I enlisted; tell your recruiter to look into ACASP, or the Army Civilian Required Skills Program. You’ll go in as E4 and once you hit AIT, you’ll skip the NREMT phase and go directly to whiskey phase.

Well, I’m not 100% because I’m in the Navy, but it’s usually based on college credits. The Navy doesn’t enlist people at E-4, the highest is E-3, and it’s based on college credits. I had my EMT-B and enlisted as an E-3, and made E-4 from advancement within 6 months. I have heard that with the Army, you can skip over the EMT phase of your 68W AIT if you’re an NREMT. 68W MOS requires everyone to have and maintain they’re NREMT, and you’ll get a chance to test at your AIT. Again, I’m not 100% because I’m a Navy Corpsman, but I have a lot of buddies who are 68W, and we go to school at Fort Sam, alongside the whiskeys.

She has to have her National Registry EMT-B, not a state certification. It’s under the ACASP program

Ok you need your NREMT-B (no state licensing accepted) and most of the time your in as a E-3, but I’ve seen basics and Paramedics get in asE-4’s if there recruiter cares enough to do more paperwork that says they are awesome and have experience.

E4 is a pay grade. Will you be a specialist or a corporal? I may be getting into an issue of the different culture between the Army and the Marines.

The Marine Corps had a "guaranteed corporal" program for a while. When they hit the fleet as Corporals, they didn't have the experience to be a Marine Corporal. Plus many resented their rapid promotion. It was a rough row to hoe. Unless a good NCO took them under their wing, many found themselves administratively reduced back to lance Corporal within a few months.

Na true I have my EMT-B I was trying to go in as 68W but I needed the NREMT for the army to give me a waiver. You can go in for 68W but that EMT-B wont mean anything for the army. Trust me I even tried to take it to s1 for promotion point and is not good even for that.
