Due the Border issue, what’s your Interpretation of the Constitutions Federal Mandate of protection against invasion/domestic violence?

Section 4

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

Just like a military base, don’t you want to know who is coming in, and what they are bringing in?

This radical and racialized interpretation of this, selectively mind you, is a recent thing. Another legacy of old era conservatism that isn't worth keeping.

One has to define invasion.
Legal definition of invasion: INVASION. The entry of a country by a public enemy, making war.
2. The Constitution of the United States, art. 1, s. 8, gives power to congress "to provide for calling the militia to execute the laws of the Union, suppress insurrections, and repel invasions." Vide Insurrection.
With that being said, some may see this as a public enemy or even making war depending on one's views. So now we have become a sanctuary country at the expense of the taxpayer, why wouldn't people see this as an invasion..
