SFC Private RallyPoint Member 65512 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Here is the situation:  Soldier A&amp;B are dual military enrolled in the MACP.<div><br></div><div>A is higher ranking with no children.<div>B has 2 children that are in shared custody with the Non military Ex.</div><br /></div><div><br></div><div>Since A&amp;B have been married the children were always kept on Soldier B's DEERs since that individual was the parent.</div><div><br></div><div>If A&amp;B have a child together, whose DEERs should the new child go under? Can the 2 from a previous relationship stay on Soldier B's DEERs and the new child go on Soldier A's DEERs?  </div><div><br></div><div>I've always thought ALL children had to go under one Soldier, to avoid "double dipping" for the with dependent BAH.</div><div><br></div><div>In this situation Soldier B is headed to Korea and needs to have the 2 dependents listed to keep receiving BAH, which is crucial due to child support, since the Ex will have them the whole time.  While B is in Korea, Soldier A is going to PCS overseas, and has been told that the shared child has to be under Soldier A in DEERs in order for travel arrangements to be made/paid for. </div><div><br></div><div>Ready and Go! </div> 2014-02-26T21:05:51-05:00 SFC Private RallyPoint Member 65512
