The short version of his explanation is that he is using his body like an antenna. I usually put my key fob under my chin and it works great :)

As a child who was born as British citizen I learned to appreciate dry British humor from such as Giles. Image: Black and white Giles from 1945
FYI our SUV fob died last year. I intend to replace it this month when I take the SUV in for warranty work.

Learn something every day. I was expecting him to get hit by a passing car at first. Some of the Japanese variety shows are very violent that way. Thanks for sharing.

That's an interesting video COL Mikel J. Burroughs. I'd test the theory myself but unfortunately, my newest mode of transportation doesn't require a key fob. Or a key. Gets great fuel mileage but you gotta watch out for the exhaust... lol

I try to practice some security and not let people see me using the fob. It's said there are those that can get your signal, then follow you to get where you live and if you park your car outdoors.. they can try to take your auto. Others might try to

They go through motor vehicles to get your number saying you were involved in an accident. Some states are more secure and require a police report faxed to them. Hopefully your state is a more secure one and requires more

Shoot. I try it and my eyes rolled backwards and I was looking at a vast empty black hole behind my eyes. Took 15 minutes for my eyes to straighten out. Man, that was scary.

The Hug water sensor features accelerometers to determine how much you’re drinking, based on your water bottle’s movements. The company says that it has developed an algorithm, which determines whether you’re taking a drink, swinging your water bottle around as you gesture broadly or running to your car.

There are plenty of apps out there that will remind you to drink more water, but not many that can actually track how much you have drunk so far, especially for the much need devices such as your key fob, garage door opener, house alarm or flash light that can in effect work with the water on your brain.

The app will keep track of your hydration history, so you can track your progress. In case of an emergency this app will sync up with your key fob, garage door opener, house alarm, flash light and adjust for the amount of water you need to drink based on your physical activity for the devices to work properly.

The Hug sends data directly to the app on your iPhone, so you won’t break a sweat having to enter the info yourself, which fits around the bottle and measures how much you’ve drunken.

I was shown something similar. Put your remote to the side of your throat and open your mouth like you would say the word "oh". I've never measured the distance that this works at, but it does extend the effective range. Some funny stuff you learn from others over the years. I call em "life tricks".
