Don't you think certain politicians are going overboard with climate change as being the biggest threat to mankind?

I have been thinking seriously about what is the biggest threats to mankind. Yes, it could be our adversaries of Russia, China, North Korea or Iran. Climate change is still in dispute because most scientists agree that it's man-made and those scientists who aren't sure or who disagree with them are run out of the field. I have discussed this many times and most of you are probably sick of hearing me talk about Dr. Judith Curry. Actually, I think the biggest threat we have is crime. That druggie haggling you for spare change when you walk out of your local Safeway supermarket( we have them here in Canada as well) could be the biggest threat to you if you say something smart back to him. We are talking about the panhandler who is at the only exit late at night from your Safeway supermarket. He asked you for change. Also, you could be coming up to your car or when you are loading your car full of groceries and some street person( most likely a druggie) comes from out of the blue asking the same question. Do you have any spare change? Someone coming up to you can be the biggest threat to mankind and we are talking now, not 10 or 20 years from now but now!

Politicians are at the front page pushing climate change this, President Trump is raising your gas prices when he's not, carbon taxes are the wave of the future in the USA for Exxon though three provinces in Canada are fighting the federal government to stop its excetera excetera. Sometimes, the three biggest threat sometimes, the biggest threat to mankind is that two-bit , frequently Caucasian, hoodlum waiting for you or keeping an eye on you when you don't know he's looking at you. Just my personal opinion.

Politicians do not believe that crime, DACA, education and drugs are worthy causes warrenting their attention. Neither party wants to address issues that actually affect the populace, they would rather have an issue to ‘bray’ about like the asses they are.

Green and vegan are causes that are so drastic that some politicians are esposing them in their quest for the notoriety OAC has achieved.

I see ‘FREE’ as the current political mantra, it almost worked for Bernie and is OAC’s lifeline to celebrity status!!

I think it should be illegal for the beggars to not put that they want money for Climate Change on their sign. I am sure we can get AOC to make a law for that.

The status of the earth, the sustainability of life on earth, must outrank any other threat because if there is no life, the other problems no longer exist.
My oft-repeated position on this:

If I am incorrect, if there really is no danger, and we take action, we lose money.
On the other hand, if the deniers are incorrect, and we don't take action, we lose the earth.
