Don't Ask Don't Tell Scenario 1996 https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/don-t-ask-don-t-tell-scenario-1996 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Please give me your feedback of something that realy did happen on a Navy Combat Ship to me 1996. I am trying to figure things out in 2015 when I discovered something called MST. 2 20yo e3 sailors alone in berthing. I thougtht we were both just normal friends. He knew I was engaged to be married already to a female of course. Out of the blue he requested to suck my DK actually using the D word. I looked at him like WTF! We were alone. I freaked out in what I would suppose is a panic attack, running through him, without hesitation into the Galley, screaming, yelling, upset as if someone just attacked me, took my dog, or stole my lunch money. I was a reservist weekend warrior. He was a active duty. It was his ship. I was just part time on his ship. The next month drill he was no longer part of the ships company. He was gone. I was not told why. I was not given any counseling. I remember vaguely he told me before this instance he indeed did not like the navy and what he was doing. Some years later I have had all sorts of problems keeping relationships with girls. I was also physically assaulted by an e9 on the same ship a couple years later. I am diagnosed with PTSD from the VET CENTER. I have developed a second theory, that this guy was trying to get out of the NAVY?! I want to access his discharge status.I do not feel I should suffer if he used me as his guinea pig to force the DON"T ASK DON"T TELL policy into affect. Of course back then, mental health was a foreign word mid 1990s NAVY.
