Don Morgan, an American who tried and failed to Join ISIS. What to do with him?

Don Morgan was a wanna be Special Forces, National Guard, Failed Sheriff Deputy, failed Catholic, Muslim convert who failed to join ISIS, but finally got caught returning to the USA after he could not get into Syria. He is in jail, but not facing terrorist charges YET. Should he be getting National attention for all of his failures or just swept under the rug as he really deserves?

His story reads as a search for something he needs in his life. Yet he has never achieved any of his goals. Should we hate or pity this person?

Don Morgan, a North Carolina native, says he was answering a higher calling.

CMDCM Gene Treants. Forget it . . . the French don't take anyone over 39.5 years old. Still, I would refer for psychiatric evaluation . . . and if he is not simply mentally sick . . . I would refer to U S Department of State for a hearing about whether he should retain either his U S Citizenship and/or U S Passport. We don't need these kinds of people in the United States. Send him back to Syria. Seriously though, the Justice Dept will need to decide if he has broken any laws and DHS will need to determine if he is a viable threat. I think he has some serious mental issues.

If he's so screwed up that even ISIS won't take him, is he even worth a discussion, let alone a news story? I'm sure there are inpatient psychiatric facilities that could make a nice looooong case study of him.

Trying to join is still treason in my book. But with the political climate we have right now "Touchy, feeling don't offended anyone" crowd. They will want to find out why he is this way. We can fix him and make him a model citizen. Okay enough BS just send him back and wash our hands of him.

I say put him in a cartoon costume and make him work 12 hour shifts at Disneyland... in summer...

On a serious note though, I think he should be denied entry back into the states. He should be sent back to where he came from. Make him stateless and an example.
