No, this isn't a real mosquito. It's an insect spy drone for urban areas, already in production, funded by the US Government.

It can be remotely controlled and is equipped with a camera and a Microphone. It can land on you, and even has the potential to take a DNA sample or leave RFID tracking nanotechnology on your skin.
It can fly through a slightly open window, or it can attach to your clothing until you unwittingly take it into your home.
It can then be guided to the top of a curtain or other invisible locationwhere it can scope entire rooms and monitor everything being said.

There are some advantages to this technology and with that being said, I don't mind it, as long as this technology isn't abused. Abuse for new technology is always something that worries people and it is who should have it in there possession. I think it can come in handy for certain strategic operations to gather information and help locate high targeted individuals.

If this device is capable of taking DNA samples, it is also capable of depositing; toxins, bio agents etc. I could write a whole Sci-Fi series based just on this little bugger. Any weapon system this small would be very hard to backtrack or even know if it were used.
