My retirement briefing is 7 Dec and I request an out date of 15 Dec. Is that plausible? The retirement reps for this base have not answered there phones or replied to emails. Just want to plan my next steps after the army properly.Does the retirement briefing have to happen before request for orders to hrc is sent up?2023-11-20T18:21:31-05:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member8559781<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I'm getting med retired, got to choose my out date. I don't think it's unreasonable to still meet your out date as long as you hit all the milestones required through the transition center. Did they not provide you with a checklist of everything that needs to be accomplished prior to getting out? I had my entire last year mapped out before I retired, and I needed to meet certain goals that had to be signed off by my commander.Response by SFC Kevin Stampfly made Nov 20 at 2023 7:22 PM2023-11-20T19:22:14-05:002023-11-20T19:22:14-05:00SFC Kevin Stampfly8559844<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>To answer your initial question, I received my retirement orders last November, and did my Retirment briefing in December.Response by SFC Kevin Stampfly made Nov 20 at 2023 7:26 PM2023-11-20T19:26:09-05:002023-11-20T19:26:09-05:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member8560457<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Have you completed SFL? You cannot plan well for this transition unless you go to the authoritative source for your specific situation.Response by COL Dan Ruder made Nov 22 at 2023 11:51 PM2023-11-22T23:51:07-05:002023-11-22T23:51:07-05:002023-11-20T18:21:31-05:00
