The media should respect everyone and every belief. They're supposed to be impartial.

The "media" should respect politicians the same as they should any other citizen. They should be the reporter of facts and teller of truths. Lofty ideals and certainly some the liberal mainstream media hasn't lived up to. The First Amendment sets up the "press" as a watchdog over our democracy by giving them the freedom to report on the Government without fear of being silenced. The current media has ceased to exercise this power wisely and fairly witness their in-the-tank reporting on the entire Obama administration and Clinton campaign. It has gotten so bad that they apparently believed their own lies and were shocked when they got it wrong.

The Media does not have a duty to respect anyone but they do have a duty to respect and report the truth. That means to report BOTH sides...not just the liberal side that they have run in full support of for so long that they have forgotten their true purpose. To give their readers/viewers information and allow them to make their own decisions. Reporters today are not reporting they are Media "Personalities" they are more interested in pushing their "Brand" not the truth. That's why they Lie about being in "Combat" They want to look good not be responsible.

This is a definite lack of respect, not just to DJT but the Reddit users as well. Many prolly never thought there own post could be changed by the company.

As all can see, there is little difference between state media/press and the private, "civilian" counterparts. Each serves to advance the agendas of their owners. They have no duty to do anything they choose not to do.

The MSM have abdicated their 1st A special privileges and protections by siding with the government Against the people. The original job of the press was to be the people's watchdog to keep the government in check and exposed when they worked against the people. The MSM is hell-bent on protecting government corruption against the American people, such as the IRS, FBI, State Department and BLM.

There job is to respect the truth and report the truth. That changed many years ago when the newspapers began endorsing candidates. Then the cable news channels have continued promoting the candidates of there owners choosing. There is no fair and balanced in news today and respect doesn't sell ad space.
