Does the fact that Linux Mint's site was compromised bother, or surprise, anyone?2016-02-23T11:15:57-05:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member1324102<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>A group of hackers rerouted the site to malicious OS image files. It's definitely bothersome but not surprising. We are now in an age where any connected device is going to be a target for these types of people. Security is something we strive for but will never fully achieve as long as services need to be accessible. The only secure device is a disconnected and powered off device.Response by SSG Nathaniel Bendel made Feb 23 at 2016 4:40 PM2016-02-23T16:40:03-05:002016-02-23T16:40:03-05:00SSgt Mark Lines1326786<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Initially I was surprised, but later I was not. Today, with the high profile hacks going on, it was only a matter of time before they were hit. It just goes to show that complacency is never good in regards to security.Response by SSgt Mark Lines made Feb 24 at 2016 12:59 AM2016-02-24T00:59:53-05:002016-02-24T00:59:53-05:002016-02-23T11:15:57-05:00
