No. The government covers PCS moves. If you move while at your duty station you pay for any costs of that move. Like say I wanted to move off post out of on post housing right now. I pay to hire a moving truck if I needed one. No reimbursement. <br /><br />If you want to move to a new house, ask some friends with trucks to help you. Or rent a truck. The most familiar is a PCS move. The Government does pay for a move from off base housing to on base housing, but usually not the other way (on base to off base). It’s highly unlikely the Government would pay for a move between two off base locations. No matter why the move happens the cost of the Government move must be supported with a fund citation on orders. There’s a DoD software system set up to manage Government moves. Also a web site with lots of information. If you used it, then you have to be on orders. <br /><br />There are some hardship moves , but those require HRC approval.
