I don't think they do, unless you are a retired AF cop. Recently, I got onto base with a battle buddy of mine who retired as a Security Forces Air Guard guy. He simply had to show the sentry his ID, badge, and weapon.

Nope. I have no faith or confidence in Army leadership at least to allow carry of any kind on base. It will take at least 15-30 more deaths due to mass shooting on military installations for a serious conversation to even take place. Just my 2 cents worth.

Depends on the base. Here at Davis Monthan in Tucson active duty and retirees can carry on base. The weapon has to be locked up in your vehicle with the ammunition locked up in a separate compartment.
I for example have my weapon, clear and safe, locked in one location inside my vehicle with the loaded magazines secured in another compartment. I won't say where for my own personal safety.

True words...”At this time there are no weapons or firearms INSIDE the vehicle”. If it’s that easy for someone without INTENT to enter the installation, how easy is it for those WITH INTENT? #2...Policies and AFI/SOP readings from the SFS Ops/Control desk concerning who can and cannot have a round chambered in their weapon should not be audible to those entering the installation. As the old saying goes...The road to Hell is paved with good intention.
