We as a nation and as parents need to do the right things. As parents we should be locking guns up so that toddlers have no access to them. As a nation we need to be doing everything we can to protect our citizens first then assist the rest of the world.

Simply put, yes. It's security theater, not security.

If you look at the CDC list of deaths by %/Quantity, terrorism isn't even a blip on the radar. Actually most things aren't.

The things that are going to kill you are your health, unintentional accidents, and suicide, with the VAST MAJORITY being your health (8 of top 10).

If you are saying that we should stop or reduce the effort put into identifying and interdicting potential terrorist acts in our country, that would be foolhardy. Therefore, I assume the question was posed as a joke.

Toddlers are not accidentally finding a bomb in their underwear and then trying to light it on fire to see what happens. Terrorists are willing and trying to kill people as well there are measures to prevent the tragic gun accidents via responsible gun ownership. Also I don't think this is a fair comparison in that there is no way to know all the deaths prevented either with responsible gun ownership or counter-terrorists measures. However I do feel a lot of public facing measures are more feel good than do good.
