Does money have an expiration date?

I think I have a twenty in my wallet. Not sure because it's been so long since I've looked. Obviously, I haven't been out anywhere to spend money (my wife and daughter have me under house arrest until the all clear is sounded). Even before the pandemic arrived, I rarely paid cash for anything.

Yes and no. US currency is taken out of circulation when it becomes unreadable or is faded, torn, etc but no set expiration date.

yep, I carry $300 in cash as well as a firearm I had to get divorced in order to do this. I mainly spend with Credit Cards only to build up credit rating and usually paid off by end of month
