I know money isn't the right reasons...... retirement?2016-11-21T20:35:11-05:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member2096569<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Does it make financial sense to go warrant after 9 years as an E7 with special pays. Look at promotions from here and what you think retirement will be at the rank you think you'll make. If you enjoy being enlisted then don't go warrant.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 21 at 2016 8:36 PM2016-11-21T20:36:54-05:002016-11-21T20:36:54-05:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member2096682<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I guess the question would be? Would you love what job you'd want to do as a warrant? If you love being enlisted and doing what you do now, then stay enlisted. If you want a scenery change then go for it. Just look at promotions and how you'll progress over the years.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 21 at 2016 9:15 PM2016-11-21T21:15:02-05:002016-11-21T21:15:02-05:00Lt Col Jim Coe2096939<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Retirement pay is based on active duty base pay. I've been retired longer than I served. If your short- term finances can take the change, then go for the long-term benefit of greater base pay.Response by Lt Col Jim Coe made Nov 21 at 2016 10:24 PM2016-11-21T22:24:17-05:002016-11-21T22:24:17-05:00CW3 Private RallyPoint Member2097586<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I agree with the LTC, if your finances can take the short term cut- go for it. I gave up sdap as well, worth it- job satisfaction and retirement pay went up :)Response by CW3 Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 22 at 2016 7:36 AM2016-11-22T07:36:06-05:002016-11-22T07:36:06-05:00CPT Aaron Kletzing2097614<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes you should go for itResponse by CPT Aaron Kletzing made Nov 22 at 2016 7:49 AM2016-11-22T07:49:34-05:002016-11-22T07:49:34-05:002016-11-21T20:35:11-05:00
