Does anyone know who the first commissioned Officer in the US military was? The topic came up when I was asked a question about who can administer the Oath of Office during an Officer's promotion. In the process, I learned that a CW2 is a commissioned officer. I've been in about 15 years and and still am learning new things! Tue, 17 Apr 2018 21:47:56 -0400 Does anyone know who the first commissioned Officer in the US military was?
