I am writing a memoir (non-military related) and am looking for good resources for the overall process such as editing and publishing.

Scribble down your thoughts; put them into some order of chronology; construct the BLURB and; voila, you have a fabulous manuscript.

As far as editing and publishing, your options are the same for any other writer. Look into what literary agents and publishers are looking for your type of work and send out query letters. Look into how to write one as there are some real particulars to the entire thing. If this route seems to be too slow for you -- because it is very slow, and you should fully expect rejection after rejection -- you can always seek out an editor that you pay for on your own and self publish on, say, Amazon, which is a rather simple process.

Here is a piece of advice. Make a standard format for each page from the get go, it will surely reduce editing. There are free grammar and spelling checks on the internet.

There's Upwork to hire freelancers. Be sure the the contract is clear and concise.

Are you self-publishing? If so, I can gather vital resources for ARCs, reviews, and marketing. You will need to either do the marketing part yourself or pay someone to do it for you. This is where you'll need to tread lightly because there are alot of scams and alot of companies/individuals that offer terrible services.
