Our optempo is unlike most other conventional units. We have a brigade forward deployed, some units getting ready to head over as well and all the while supporting training back home and tying in with our units forward. In short, you will be very busy in garrison. If you are still determined to find something there are stores that always have openings.Response by CPT Ahmed Faried made Aug 28 at 2015 3:03 PM2015-08-28T15:03:30-04:002015-08-28T15:03:30-04:00SrA Private RallyPoint Member926370<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I used to be the sales manager at the best buy in Watertown. We employed a lot of soldiers (& their spouses). I'm pretty sure you have to okay it with your unit but we had no problem working around a soldiers schedule.Response by SrA Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 29 at 2015 9:41 AM2015-08-29T09:41:29-04:002015-08-29T09:41:29-04:00CSM Charles Hayden931475<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>SGT Jessica Cole, Do a drive there recon before accepting any position near Ft Drum. Online jobs, network marketing and so on. These are also options that are portable and as long as you can access the internet you can work your business or job. There are many legit opportunities however like everything else there are some scams out there. So if you look into this option just verify the company and be sure it is allowed by your command.Response by SSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 3 at 2015 10:31 AM2015-09-03T10:31:37-04:002015-09-03T10:31:37-04:00SrA David Steyer1112871<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>There are a LOT of fast food and retail jobs in the area.... Finding a job may be difficult, but remember that you need permission from your Commander to seek and accept part-time employment.Response by CSM Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 4 at 2016 10:53 PM2016-02-04T22:53:21-05:002016-02-04T22:53:21-05:002015-08-27T09:22:11-04:00
