Don't you worry bud. Historically the US has sent men off to war at least once every ten years. You stick around long enough and you'll get more than you ever wished for. Besides that, I am sure there are all sorts of S-2 and CI people eagerly awaiting someone to provide a detailed schedule here before it gets unofficially (officially) published in Army Times.

OPSEC. This is not the place to ask and receive an answer..........even though the media broadcasts troop deployments all the time. If you want to know, run it through your Chain and see if your Team Leader/Squad Leader will go to S-3 for you and ask if there are units that are about to hit the ramp and need a medic. You can also change your status to Volunteer in the HRC website. What this does is that it puts your name on a list of people wanting to go, and if there is a unit that is in need of a Medic, then you could be picked. But please refrain from asking an OPSEC question such as this here. Good luck.

There is some good advice in these two disscussion as well. It looks like you're at Bragg which means also have access to USACAPOC. They usually deploy to places where the regular Army does not such as Africa and Central America. One of their missions is to assist the local nationals in humanitarian assistance which usually includes some kind of medical assessment or treatment which may make your 68W skills valuable to any CA team mission.

I have heard of IA (individual augmentee) positions for certain deployments, but from my understanding that is when a unit requests someone (not specific) from a specialized unit to come on the deployment. Is it possible for active duty soldiers to volunteer to deploy? I know around Fort Bragg specifically there is a lot of trading that can take place prior to a deployment. Is there an official way to make yourself available or is it all just...

Of course, here let me list exactly where they will be going, which units will part of it and when they are scheduled to head out. I may be able to find their force protection plan as well so I can post that to.

Seriously, your S-3 exists for a reason. This is why I still have to do annual training on OPSEC.
