Does anyone know how I can get help for Christmas for my 8 year old daughter?

SSG Robert Cable Have you looked into submitting her name to various groups who ask for families to sponsor a child? Last year my PT group provided presents for 145 children. We did our best to get the items on their wish lists or what the parents requested for them if the child was very young.

Call your local Vso ask there. They adopt meny vets kids yearly. Also WWP.

Not sure where you live, SSG Robert Cable. Your profile says Florida.
What I did is I started a tradition where we all (I have three children I raise alone) go to the local sledding hill and have a grand time all day long. They love it, and look forward to it every year. Costs me nothing. Gains me all sorts of happy memories.
