However the odds of your waiver being approved is the key. For depth perception I would say it is low.<br /><br />But that doesn&#39;t mean you can&#39;t try. When they tried to fail me on my eye exam I went and got two second opinions and submitted those with my flight physical, and they waivered me. Anything is possible. The pilots are normally the first to hit when an aircraft crashes. Seriously, if you push it, and even get it, it would only be given with restrictions on your flight status similiar to the restrictions placed on experienced pilots as their vision degrades; any restrictions would have a negative impact upon the pleasure you would experience by being a pilot and be a career limitation. It&#39;s been many years, but I had four eye exams before I was ever able to touch the controls. Depth perception is critical when flying NOE or goggles.
