Does anyone know any units in the Northeast that would offer me a 31D contract? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/does-anyone-know-any-units-in-the-northeast-that-would-offer-me-a-31d-contract

Served 6 Years as 11B in the NG while attending law school, and currently working as a criminal prosecutor.

I want to join the Reserve as 31D but I don't have BLC (WLC) and police experience. I was offered a option of signing 31B contract w/ a CID unit, then submitting a 31D packet a year after but that seems risky.

Does anyone know any units in the Northeast that would offer me a 31D contract? You will get offered just what you have been offered and they will work with you to get the packet approved to get accepted into the 31D program. 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Sat, 09 Sep 2017 16:52:43 -0400 2017-09-09T16:52:43-04:00 Response by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 9 at 2017 4:56 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/does-anyone-know-any-units-in-the-northeast-that-would-offer-me-a-31d-contract?n=2905846&urlhash=2905846

The CID website list all CID reserve units. Law enforcement experience is waiverable however BLC is not. How are E-4 soldiers typically treated in Reserve CID units compared to infantry units? Then the applicant needs to complete a CID packet which goes to CID command, which selects or rejected the applicants. If selected the applicant also needs to complete the security clearance background. After this is all completed the applicant completes the CID course in Fort Leonard Wood. Applicants can be rejected at any of these positions.

The best thing to do to get started in the process is to go to the unit as a 31B and work forward from there. 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Sat, 09 Sep 2017 17:25:48 -0400 2017-09-09T17:25:48-04:00 Response by SP5 Peter Keane made Sep 9 at 2017 7:20 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/does-anyone-know-any-units-in-the-northeast-that-would-offer-me-a-31d-contract?n=2906074&urlhash=2906074

One of the basic requirements is 1 year MP or 2 years civilian police.
"At least one year of military police experience or two years civilian police experience (requirement for reserve soldiers only)" SP5 Peter Keane Sat, 09 Sep 2017 19:20:23 -0400 2017-09-09T19:20:23-04:00 Response by SFC Michael Eshenbaugh made Oct 3 at 2017 6:57 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/does-anyone-know-any-units-in-the-northeast-that-would-offer-me-a-31d-contract?n=2968127&urlhash=2968127

You would have to go through the process of an application packet then wait on completion of your background check. If accepted, then you would get a school date. SFC Michael Eshenbaugh Tue, 03 Oct 2017 18:57:20 -0400 2017-10-03T18:57:20-04:00 2017-09-09T16:50:25-04:00
