Does anyone have info on Missouri national guard infantry units around KC?

Harry Truman's old unit is in Independence. I remember a couple of other units in the immediate area some years back, but there is also a good-sized unit in St. Joe (an hour's drive), and one or more south of the Metro, again an hour or so away. All told, Missouri has a very prominent Guard presence in the state. Seeing that your history is in the Corps, there was a USMC Reserve Unit out at the now former Richards-Gebauer AFB in far, far south KCMO in Cass County, part of the 12th Special Forces, as I recall. Not sure if their Guidon is still there.

1-138th infantry regiment. It's the only one in the state and also my current unit.

Nope but I do remember the Old Navy Reserve Seabee Battalion out of Belton, MO.
