Does anyone have any info on serving in the Army Reserves in American Samoa?

Army Reserve in American Samoa. Looking to move soon after I ETS and enlist in the reserves there. Anyone have any info?

Yes there is a army reserve unit there. I believe there sister unit is in Hawaii on Oahu with the 9th MSC. I knew people who are from AS and were in the reserve unit there.

Contact your Reserve Component Career Counselor and they will lock you into an assignment there 6 months from your ETS

There are several USAR units in American Samoa. I was an AGR there a while back as a CO CDR. You have CO B and CO C of the 100-442nd Infantry Regiment; Theater Support Group American Samoa Detachment; 962nd Quartermaster (Mortuary Affairs) Company, and the 411th Forward Support Company. All are under the 9th MSC out of FT Shafter Flats on Oahu. There are usually a few flights out of Hickam going through AS each week on their way to Oz as well as Hawaiian Airlines.
