SGT Private RallyPoint Member 6847408 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am currently 3 weeks out from my ETS date from the Texas National Guard. I made the decision to re-enlist and go active duty. One of the documents needed by my recruiters is a Discharge Memorandum from my battalion S1 basically stating that my discharge is going to be honorable and my RE code will be a 1. They can use that until my NGB-22 comes in after my ETS date. When I brought it up over the drill weekend I was told to write it myself, verify with my recruiter that it is what he needs and to send it up the chain to the CO who would verify also and put his signature on it. I&#39;ve searched all over the internet for an example of what one looks like and cannot locate a template. Does anyone who knows what I am talking about ever written one/have an example and would be willing to share? Does anyone have an example/template of a Discharge Memorandum intended for a recruiter for a re-enlistment from the NG into active duty? 2021-03-23T16:59:28-04:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 6847408 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am currently 3 weeks out from my ETS date from the Texas National Guard. It contains all of your awards, 40+ hour courses, and MOS&#39;S you held during your time in the NG. In order for it to be completed, we need a copy of your separation/transfer order so we can put where you are transferred too and what type of discharge needs to be put on the 22. You are not responsible for writing your own NGB 22. They are supposed to be done by your unit and have to be signed by an E7, WO, GS7 or above. If your unit does not know how to do it, they need get in contact with their BN S1. The regulation to comple the NGB 22 is NGR 600-200 Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 23 at 2021 5:18 PM 2021-03-23T17:18:28-04:00 2021-03-23T17:18:28-04:00 SFC Private RallyPoint Member 6847457 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If your recruiter says they need a memorandum then ask them for the example Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 23 at 2021 5:33 PM 2021-03-23T17:33:07-04:00 2021-03-23T17:33:07-04:00 SFC Private RallyPoint Member 6847486 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Just visit your recruiter and that MEMO will be probably be there and signed, they just need to put your name in there. All am saying is your Recruiter will be the best source of the information you need to switch from NG to Active Duty. You&#39;re going to need a waiver too regardless Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 23 at 2021 5:42 PM 2021-03-23T17:42:38-04:00 2021-03-23T17:42:38-04:00 SFC Private RallyPoint Member 6847621 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You may also be able to pull your discharge order out of iPerms (some go in early) that order will have all the information the recruiter needs.
