SSG Walker, this is the VERBATIM answer I got from my cousin at RRAD:
"My MLRS/Bradley Division Chief just called me back.
His response...
We never use a track gauge unless you call your index finger a gauge. Waiting on a return call from my Rubber Division Chief, will holler when I hear back from him."
SO...that's DEPOT LEVEL head honchos that use their FINGER! LOL!
