Does anyone have a good suggestion on good and safe apartment around Ft. Benning?

PCSing to Benning next Jan. Has anyone been there and known a good and safe apartment out there? Anyone here is in 14th CSH CASH at Benning? Thanks.

The Housing Office on Fort Benning is a good resource. They maintain a list of areas, realtors, and apartment complexes that have less than stellar reputations in dealing with service members. These websites may be of some help.

Summit point off of exit 12 was really nice and it's basically new they have apartments and houses to rent

If you stay north of Manchester Expressway, you should be ok. Price will be higher, but you aren't in the rougher part of Columbus.

I found that the nicer apartments were off of exits 10 and 12. Greystone is a major apartment company that has many properties in Columbus.

When you looking for a place you want to be past exit 6. Whsiperwood is often called whisper hood. It looks nice but plenty of break-in.
Plenty of nice homes to rent in the fort Mitchell area on the Alabama side of post.
I just left the csh. I'll say experiences vary greatly. There's been nearly a complete COC turn over since I left. Many that I associate with since leaving don't have much nice things to say. However that may be limited to one company. Overall the unit is pretty close knit.
