Does anyone else in the Army/Navy seriously not care about today's (14 DEC 13) game?

I have some seniors beating me over the head to cheer for the Army in this match up and I seriously can't get myself to do so.
Our team is pretty bad, we've continuously lost these engagements in the past decade, we haven't had a winning record in decades, and I just can't connect future cherry 2LTs who play football it to my espirit de corps.

I didn't go to West Point and couldn't care less how bad the cadets lose to the midshipman.

My standard quip to this kind of issue would be "I don't even watch baseball." Unless, of course, they were trying to get me excited about a baseball game, then I would pick some other sport... "I don't even WATCH curling."

I think we'd care more if Army ever won a game or two against the Navy. Every time I see them play, Navy ends up beating us down.

I actually got berated at my first ever mock board for this... They asked me "what major sporting event is coming up?" and I had no clue... they tried to give me hints, but it was useless...

If it were an All-Army team vs. All-Navy team; i.e. teams of players recruited from across the ranks of actual service-members, not just cadets vs. midshipmen; then I would care.

1LT Private RallyPoint Member An excellent point. I cheer Navy on because that is my Service and for many it is a service pride and morale thing. I would have to whole heartily agree with 1SG(P) Private RallyPoint Member it is difficult for many on the "E" side to get fired up about a bunch of would be butter bars running around. Regardless I plan to watch and cheer on Navy.

I actually care about the game. I want Army to win. I stayed with the Army because I wanted to. I could have changed branches, but F*** that. Army, Lead The Way.
