Does anyone at Fort Polk know if the barracks are 95% full or if an NCO gets BAH not to stay in the barracks?

When you're in your middle 30's and you're in the barracks with a bunch of horny 18 to 25 that play loud music, fighting or breaking thing in the laundry room and CQ won't get off their lazy ass to do anything. I can't do there job for them. Solution: Take 350.00 to 500.00 from these officers that making twice or three times as much as the enlisted side and that can increase the BAH funds.

Your solution makes no sense. I can understand how you get upset with CQ not doing their job but to say "hey lets just take money from those that are commissioned does not make sense. How about the solution is you talk with you fellow NCOs and get the CQNCO to do their job. If they fail to do their job, there are ways to get that behavior corrected through the 1SG and/or CSM.

I'd prefer to get rid of the dorms entirely. Seems to me like we might actually save money if we stop maintaining them, not to mention the boost in productivity when you don't have to force an NCO to babysit grown adults.

SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member you are an NCO, if there's something going at the barracks that should not be happening, step up and correct it, or are you scared of a bunch of horny 18-25 junior enlisted Soldiers?

Single E5 and below stay in the barracks and don't receive BAH. Married soldiers and E6 and above get BAH. Could be worse, I know places in Germany where E6s have to live in the barracks also.

How about instead of complaining and coming up with terrible solutions (if you can even call that a solution) you get yourself promoted or better yet go green to gold. I lived in the barracks at Polk in the early 2000's from PVT-SGT. Then I worked my butt off and went green to gold.
