I was stationed at Ft Wainwright in the early 90s. Loved it there, great place if you like the outdoors, as well as hunting and fishing. There was no 28th MP detachment. When I was there and of course it was so long ago, there'd be nothing I could tell you. Great place to live as long as you don't mind the cold.

They were in my Brigade, small unit really nice barracks.

Yes its pretty cold there....but seriously I don't know anything about the MP's but I was stationed at Ft Wainwright for a few years and at first I hated it but I grew to love being in Alaska. Make the most out of all the opportunities that are there for you. If you are an outdoors kind of of person you will love it. If you are a hermit then you will be pretty miserable. Not many places you go where you can cross country ski for PT.

Yes, they freeze their respective derrieres off for about 9 months every year and have a tendency to stay up way past bedtime in the summer. You're welcome. Glad I could help and God Bless.
