There is a piece of legislation moving through both the House and Senate to publish the Department of Defense Sex Offender Database:
http://www.stripes.com/news/house-bill-calls-for-dod-to-publish-names-of-military-sex-offenders-1.329216

Personally I believe it is a good thing just like the each state having their sex offender site available.

I agree, SGT Jim Z.. I've seen this story before, and I think it's a very good thing. One problem is that sex offenders in the military have been getting out and kind of "escaping" that label by blending into civilian society without the sex offender tag following them. Hopefully this legislation will correct that problem.

I liked the very last paragraph though
"That legislation calls for military sex offenders to be automatically added into the FBI’s National Crime Information Center. But that database is used primarily by law enforcement and not accessible by the public."

The MST issue is one close to my heart. I'm planning part of my legal practice to be victim advocacy.
