Me personally? If I put on anything other than "cammies" (now called diggies, ABUs and ACUs etc), I wear ribbons, and because I am Air Force now, I wear the function badges that go with the uniform. I feel that when I put those uniforms on, I am dressing up and part of that is the Decs.

No, I only wear my name plate and sometimes my regimental crest. Trying to wear my ribbons and badges on the shirt (thin material) is too heavy and pulls the shirt down. I don't feel I need to impress anyone with all the bling on the class Bs that is for the As.

Now that I spent the money for thin ribbons for my shirt and jacket (not the same set) I wear them every time I wear the shirt.

I did everyday, working in the Command Group of a Unified Command. Always a personal choice, but being one of the only lower enlisted working there I looked at it like this. My leadership was squared away and I was lucky to have been there. Proper military manner goes along way. Before it is mentioned, the Army Element did not have a unit crest.

When I where my "blues" I wear all authorized ribbons/badges and always wear a tie unless in a formation that requires something else (ie short sleeve blues, no tie, and name tag only).

I prefer not to wear my ribbons on the Class B shirt, it gets too heavy with all the bling. I wear my Chaplain Cross (as it is required), Air Assault badge, Regimental insignia, name-tag and CSIB.

I humbly submit this, whether A’s or B’s, you are a walking billboard of your military service. On the class B’s, wear your ribbons if you believe you earned them and set an outstanding example of a proud heritage that might just inspire someone to want to be more than they are, it may be a bit uncomfortable but when has that ever prevented us from doing our best.

The only time I wear Bs is at weddings and funerals where I take my jacket off during receptions, so I keep my fruit salad on my jacket

22–2. Authorization
a. Commanders may require the wear of authorized awards on the following occasions:
(1) Parades, reviews, inspections, and funerals.
(2) Ceremonial and social occasions.
b. Unless directed by a commander IAW paragraph 22–2(a), authorized awards are worn at the option of the wearer,
when not prohibited, during normal duty hours. Personnel also may wear authorized awards on appropriate uniforms
when off duty. Personnel are encouraged to wear authorized awards on the service, dress, and mess uniforms.
c. Soldiers may wear authorized awards on the Class B version of the service uniform during duty hours and when
off duty, at their option.

what I used to see when I was in the AF back in the day, NCOs typically wore everything and officers would wear personal awards Achievement and up.

I always ask that question before any sort of pay day actives of function in which the Class B uniform is required. From my experiences both at Bragg and the rest of the Army we generally do NOT wear our ribbons.

I personally believe we should wear everything as it gives the Soldier a sense of pride and appreciation for those awards and schools that they have completed. It also sets apart those who have been recognized for various awards or accomplishments in their career.

Whenever I am in Bs, which is very rarely, I put an outdated (usually by one appurtenance) ribbon rack on, if the occasion is somewhat formal. Normally though, I will just wear my Senior Aviation Wings, RDI, nameplate, and shoulder marks.

Pro Tip if you don't know already: use a commercial stiffener backing, or just a piece of cardboard, behind your ribbons, badges, etc. This will prevent your ribbons/badges from pulling downward on your shirt, which makes everything look like crap.

I wear my name plate and sometimes a ranger tab. Depending on who I plan to meet with. If is some grunts and SOC guys I put it on. But normally it’s slick. People I work with know my qualifications. I went a few months without wearing my tab on my ACUs. I came off one day and couldn’t find it. When you’re in an office building inside a SCIF nobody cares what you used to be in a previous life.

No. USAF made wearing ribbons on blue-shirt uniforms optional. I always wore just my wings and name tag. Most USAF members went this route during my time in service.

No, never did. Just wore required name tag, rank and branch. Once in a while green tabs and regt crests.
