Do you wear your miniature medals on your civilian suits?

I've seen retired COL Allen West wearing just his specialty badges, and I've seen some folks wearing their medals and badges, and some even wearing their ribbons. Correct me if I'm wrong, aren't we only allowed to wear the miniature medals on the lapel of a suit?

I've not seen many who wear miniature awards - mostly skill badges, ranger tabs. I've met Allen West and he was only wearing his wings and the flag:

No, not yet, but might for the appropriate convention/summit having to do with military service. I see nothing wrong as long as it is accordance with the DA PAM and AR 670-1.

SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member: The only time I've seen this done with any frequency is at a military ball or a similiar formal event. Retired male service members dressed in a tuxedo sometimes wear their miniature badges and medals on their left lapel. That seems like the most appropriate venue to me.

I've seen miniatures on a tuxedo, and lapel device of highest award on lapel of a suit.

AR 670-1 (May 2017), 21–6. Medals on civilian clothes.
Retired personnel and former members of the Army (as described above) may wear all categories of medals described in this regulation on appropriate civilian clothing. This includes clothes designed for veteran and patriotic organizations on Veteran’s Day, Memorial Day, and Armed Forces Day, as well as at formal occasions of ceremony and social functions of a military nature. Personnel may wear either full-sized or miniature medals. Personnel who wear medals on civilian clothes should place the medals on the clothing in approximately the same location and in the same manner as for the Army uniform, so they look similar to medals worn on the Army uniform.
