Fellow RallyPoint veterans, the VA announces a #VeteranOfTheDay every day and you can be recognized for your service. Send a photo of yourself (or the Veteran in your life) in uniform, with your name, service branch, and brief description of the photo to [login to see] and they may post it. Make sure the image or scan is at least 200KB, is clear and has enough information about the Veteran. Fellow RallyPoint member @Penny Deere was featured last year.

This suggestion is by no means a diss upon those who have been highlighted so far.

Why doesn't VA use this Veteran of the Day to highlight the life of the veterans who take their own lives? Use it as a tool to memorialize the veteran as well as demonstrate to others who may be contemplating suicide how the actions by those who have, left voids in those who knew them best.
