No sir, the service manager always has what has to be done , so the whiteboard is our daily planner.

I used to use the Franklin Planner. Gave up paper several years ago. Now I use a combination of several systems using the Google calendar and ToDoist apps. As well as YNAB for budgeting. These 3 things together are the pillars of planning for my wife and I.

I have used a few planners throughout the years, but none of them stuck very well. Now, I use Google Calendar for my planner and appointment. Plus, I can load the appointments into my work Outlook calendar and forward them to my Gmail calendar.
One of the tricks that some of the most successful officers I've met have used is that they keep a calendar planner that has a month view and is scheduler, and a separate notebook for notes.
One guy I knew had one called a life book. It was basically a leather book cover with rubber bands down the spine. You could add and replace different planner and notebooks into it. It also had pockets and several different types of paper. It wasn't like a three-ring binder with refillable planner notes like you would normally see.

1LT Ernest Chamblee When I worked, I used the Franklin Planner and a daily computer reminder of tasks to be completed. Now that I am retired, I use a calendar to keep up with appointments or tasks like paying the quarterly estimated tax, etc. Keeping things simple works for me.

I ditched the paper planners years ago. I used Franklin Covey when I used one.

I use Microsoft Outlook for email, calendar, contacts etc. It is easy to sync meetings with others on your calendar and you can carry it in the mobile device you already have. No need to carry a book and write stuff in it, scratch it out when it changes etc. I fought the technology for years, once on it though, I found it to be a better solution.
