1) It is a request.

2) It's her passport photo, and during her "normal" public time she would be covered.

3) Though, I don't think SHE is entitled to Privacy, I do think other members of her religion, or ANY religion are entitled to similar courtesy. Just because I think SHE is a monster, doesn't mean that I should not accord respect to adherents of the religion. As such, plastering a photograph of a Muslim woman over the media, who is normally covered falls under the realm of "bad form."

4) We shouldn't give Monsters "air time." The media is profiting off of tragedy, and I have a real problem with that.

So here is the great part about this post, if in fact her lawyers said this. If her actions and the actions of all the other so called radicalized muslims are NOT representative of islam as a whole, then it should not matter if her picture is shown. It should not matter how we depict the actual terrorists after they are captured or killed. Muslims across the world should not have an opinion one way or another about how the media identifies her because they truly want to distance themselves from those who do not represent islam. Unless, of course, all this stuff "normal" muslims keep saying about "radicalized" muslims is just part of the "Taqiyya" and in reality "radicalized" muslims are really the only muslims with the courage to carry out their convictions without question or hesitation. Hell, I'd have more respect for muslims if they'd just come out and say what we already know.

Their lawyers have been laying out a pretty interesting case of how the culprits are being "victimized" and "vilified" after their evil deeds. That people are so unfairly judging them for what they did, deliberately and with premeditation.

I find it incredibly disrespectful to show a picture that mocks the lawyers request all while calling her trash. I find it incredibly disrespectful to mock somebody's religious ideologies.

What lawyers asked what, when, in what context?
It is hard to provide an informed opinion without the context.
Without context (or sources/references), I would say that the request is outrageous.
However, I question if Tasheed Malik even has a qualified lawyer. To what end? Protect her reputation?

The horses have left the barn. The image is on the internet. You cannot unsqueeze the trigger, unring the bell etc. This is another lawyerly distraction. They will attempt to use the mere existence and proliferation of this image to prove that she is being victimized even after death, boo f''ing hoo. Prior to this she didn't have a problem flashing her face all over social media to millions of people around the world and now it is disrespectful to her and ISLAM. I say take the whole covering off...if you are in the United States courts then a jury needs to see you from head to toe just like any other defendant. This is a lawyer tactic, hiding facial expressions when asked certain questions in the courtroom so the jurors or the judge can't see reactions and to slap America in the face again and again.

Hey everyone, why don't we put on our thinking caps and before getting outraged at this alleged request and take just a second to determine if it is even true? If there is no credible citation don't believe what is posted. I can't find anything to support this claim.
