Honestly? Yes. We have an employment issue & welfare issue as it currently stands. Accepting thousands more that will only put a further strain on those systems is begging for collapse in one form or another.

PFC Private RallyPoint Member, I am not against helping other people from other countries when they are in need because our country has been doing this since its inception. What I have a problem with is the fact that our country, federal and state governments can’t even successfully take care of all the homeless people within our own borders.

The question should not be whether we are putting the country at risk, but HOW MUCH risk.

Risk is something we can quantify. It's something we can manage. So we can weigh the Risk vs the Reward.

Yes, but according to statements from State its supposed to be over a period of 18-24 months and at this point 10,000. When you have ISIS acolytes here now, do we really need more. The old saying we have to be right 100% of the time and the bad guys only take one action to kill or maim thousands of us is valid.

PFC Private RallyPoint Member - I think it is ironic that Obama rejects the Keystone Pipeline but has opened a Jihadi Pipeline into our country. Just more evidence of his objective of destabilizing our country and its security. Every day, our country moves closer and closer to becoming Obamastan.

While I think the US should assist those in need, we need to do so by providing support through NGOs like the Red Cross and not in our country. We also need to take note that the refugees (as well as ISIS/radical Muslim infiltrators) are fleeing a regime that should be eliminated. Seems to me, we (and the world) would be better off getting rid of that regime than having to deal with refugees from that regime.

honestly, and this may sound like a horrible thing to say, but I'd rather have the syrian immigrants then the south of the border ones, I feel like they would bring less violence.

Yes. There is no accurate way to screen these people. It is a real possibility that ISIS, et al have infiltrated these groups.
