Do you think the Democrats will pursue a civil lawsuit against President Trump?

In my honest opinion, They will continue with a civil lawsuit and try to win a hollow victory. The Goldman family did this against OJ Simpson in 1997.

I suspect you have some people who are like the Borg from Star Trek or The livid and vengeful Romulan Neo from the 2008 Star Trek reboot who was blaming Spock for the destruction of Romulus. I am trying to be tongue and cheek and also asking for some speculation on if this will continue?

Doubtful. Anything from DOJ would now be a criminal suit. Maybe tax evasion. Hopefully they've gotten their fill. A civil suit against him by individual(s) would be an uphill battle with damages, and proving his responsibility. They chose to be there at Capitol, so any shared negligence leans toward themselves. His finances are key with any civil suit. If he's broke there is little to recover. GA and NY are a maybe otherwise.

Like the metaphors. Yes! In my opinion they have dug them into a hole and the only way out is to get some kind, any kind, of win against Mr. Trump. They have lost two impeachment attempts, their rhetorical hate-hate-hate against him. They need a win to salcage face.

First they'd have to prove they have "standing to sue", the federal law doctrine that focuses on whether a prospective plaintiff can show that some personal legal interest has been invaded by the defendant.
