But also bear in mind, that conviction of domestic abuse while actively serving will create all kinds of headaches for this NCO down the road. Whereas the one you know only got demoted by one rank and moved someone that I knew lost all four stripes, spent several months in confinement in the Security Forces building and was ultimately discharged.<br /><br />That said obviously the punishment can be severe, what should happen is there should be standard levels of discipline for specific situations across the board so that Sgt Snuffy isn't given a slap on the wrist by one commander and given the boot by the next.
