Do you think South Korea has legal standing to end The Korean Armistice Agreement?

All this talk about North and South Korea ending The Korean Armistice Agreement. South Korea wasn't even a signature to the agreement so do they have standing in its ending? Signatories; United Nations Command (USA), Korean People's Army, China.

Ultimately the only two parties that need to agree are North Korea and South Korea.

I am trying to imagine them both agreeing to a permanent peace and the UN, US, or China saying "NOT SO FAST!!!."

That's a good point as South Korea was not officially a member of the U.N. until 1991. Not sure how that is going to pan out.

What relevance would the Armistice be if the two sovereign nations agree to reunify? In my view, if the two countries opened their borders, within a decade, plain old capitalism would spread and both countries would benefit. I ask you, what has been the results of Vietnam?

Technically no they don't- but as a sovereign nation they can decide to be friendlier.
